Euthanasia is a sensitive subject that is highly discussed within the Swedish society and the whole world of healthcare. There are various attitudes, experiences, cultures and religions involved in the topic. The purpose with this study is to highlight the ethic and moral perception, attitudes and experiences among the nursing. Method used for this research is this literature research. Results of this study are that few nurses are pro-active euthanasia. Even though there are no law within the constitution, most of the nurses consider the passive form of euthanasia as more or less acceptable. It is proved in the studies, that ethical principles, age, religion, and culture have a profound influence to ones opinion about active euthanasia. It was identified that the nurses had a moral theory that supported euthanasia in cases of incurable. All nurses had been in the situation where a patient wanted their help to die.
