    Abstract [en]

The work is a study about how seven secondaryschoolteachers in Skåne interprets and works with the history awarenessconception. Through the emphasis on history awareness in the overall purpose of the syllabus Lgr 2011 we found it interesting to study teachers procedure immersing the students history awareness. Teachers, the syllabus and textbooks provides a Eurocentric picture of the history which leads us to the question which concernes how the teachers can work with expanding and immersing the history awareness amongs all student in the multicultural classroom. When students with a non european historyculture doesn’t get their history visible in school there is a risk that there history awareness doesn’t develop and immerse. With this study we wish to ask the question if narrative history may be a method to develop the history awareness amongs all students. We came to the conclusion that all teachers was aware with the conception history awareness but we found differences in the way they interpreted and worked with it. All teachers were positive to the narrative method but they found it uncertain in what way it could expand the history awareness in general and history awareness amongs student with another historyculture specific.
