dc.description.abstract Traditionally in Swedish schools, science is taught as separate subjects as biology, chemistry and physics. However, in the Swedish curriculum the syllabus for different science subjects looks quite the same, hence our curiosity of how to integrate the subjects with each other. Subject integrated teaching is a method that helps the students to get a knowledge completeness in science. The Swedish curriculum has changed considerably over the last 100 years, above all the approach of subject integrated education. In today’s curriculum, the subjects of science have their own syllabus, although it encourages the teacher to combine and integrate different forms of knowledge. This method of teaching, makes it easier for the students to apply their knowledge in daily situations. Since ordinary life not is divided into specific subjects, the education could benefit the students by being integrated. Our experience is that this kind of teaching methods is not a priority in our education. In this study, we will present the approach university-teachers and teacher-students could have on teaching integrated science. The results are founded upon qualitative methods, and the empirical data were collected by surveys, interviews and group interviews. In our result, we will describe how students and teachers view integrated teaching and what experiences they have about this teaching. One of the key findings in our study, is that both teachers and students finds a lack of interdisciplinary teaching in our current teacher education. en_US
