dc.description.abstract This thesis project explores current relationships between users and mobile phones. Taking into consideration that the digital world is accessed through mobile phones for everyday life, knowledge is generated by evoking reflections on mobile phone usage and the digital world the user is interacting with. Through a design research approach, a cultural probe is handed out to participants consists of two design objects, which are dedicated physical analog spaces for digital interactions. The probes are used as a means of inquiry to conduct research about this difficult design space, as the analog and digital worlds are intertwined and the relationship between the user and mobile phone are subjective and constantly changing. The insights and reflections generated through the probes reveal design opportunities and provide further understanding of the defined design space and for future design research or projects. en_US
