    Abstract [en]

    The main purpose of our thesis is to find out how proper activities can promote the understanding of multiplication. In our research we have used written tests, questionnaires, observations and interviews with pupils in the fourth grade. The results show that the activities have helped the pupils to develop their creativity, manifest different way of thinking and even different possibilities to apprehend and to study tasks closely.
