When nurses meet people with AIDS it’s mostly in the palliative stage, where it’s important to have knowledge about the problems these patients are experiencing. The aim of this study was to compile scientific literature regarding the difficulties people living with HIV/AIDS are experiencing at the end of life. A literature study has been used as a method and the result has been based on nine scientific articles of good or moderate quality. The result shows how different people living with HIV/AIDS experience physical problems, psychological concerns, social troubles and spiritual needs at the end of life. As a nurse it’s important to notice the patients’ difficulties, to be able to provide for their needs.
