The purpose of this paper is to show teachers and students attitudes towards using information technology in the studies of history in a specific context and how we can use IT to learn better. The paper will give a better understanding about information technology and learning. A history teacher has been interviewed to give a deeper understanding of the answers given in a connecting broader survey study. The use of IT which increased learning was the possibility to information searches and communication on the internet. The survey shows that students are very positive to using IT in their studies but also that there is a flaw in the criticism of the sources. Another detail that was enlightened by this survey was that the teachers’ knowledge of IT has to be improved.
